I have an 1987 MIJ Fender Power Jazz Bass Special that I bought with all original working parts some time ago. For some dumb reason I decided to pull out the electrics and replace them a normal PJ pick-up set and wiring and add a EMG AB switch (preamp boost) since I had the 9volt battery compartment,, Sounds really good! BUT Now I wish to reinstall the original electronics.. I cut the pick-up wire's leaving the A.T.E switch, Volume and Frequency Sweep control wires all together, and TBX is separate,, BUT I am unable to figure out where things go,, very different wiring set-up! if any one could please post some good close-up pictures of this wiring showing where the TBX wire goes and the input & output wires from the frequency sweep control, and if the input jack is a 3 pin and what connects to it and also what connects to the 3-way select switch.
even if someone could draw a wiring diagram from there MIJ PJBS would be great,,
I know there are many of you here that have this bass PLEASE HELP!
Thank you !

Email Fender Consumer Relations, include your model name with full serial and explain that you need the wiring diagram and parts list. They may can help you out but if they do I'm pretty sure you'll get a diagram and not photos. consumerrelations@fender.com

I have tried to find this diagram before with no success. I've also read others have requested it and never gotten it.

This is one of the most complicated wiring schemes ever in a Fender bass. Good luck!

Thank you brotherdave for taking the time to reply!.
have had success with gentleman selling a bass on ebay sending some pictures I requested, but was unable to see where the large wires from the frequency sweep and EXB control went? due to a lot of wire in a small compartment. I'm pretty good at figuring out and wiring guitars & basses, I just need to see a little better where things go. I will write Fender with the email you provided and see if they reply? and I Thank you!
Meanwhile if Anyone out there who owns one of these basses, and I know your out there! Please take a minute and post some pictures, you'd be helping a lot us out! maybe carefully pulling some wires around so we can see this wiring? I would be very grateful and so would others since this wiring diagram is basically none existent,,,, Trust me I've done my research!
