In October 2012 I won the 48th anniversary Guitar center contest. One of the prizes was a Geddy Lee jazz bass. It is a MIM model but they told me at the time that it was a one of a kind, in that they sent it to the Custom shop to make it into a relic. I got it two months later. They sent it Fed Ex to my house. It did not come with any paperwork or anything else just the bass in a gig bag. The bass is really cool. It looks like a road worn 72 and it plays and sounds great. I was curious what the value on this bass would be. A new Geddy Lee sells for 899.00 dollars. A new American custom shop Geddy Lee Relic is a much nicer different animal and they sell for 6000.00 dollars. I just wonder if my bass is worth anything more than a standard Geddy Lee ?

Road Worn finishes tack on one-hundred to two-hundred US dollars on mass production instruments but may run more on Custom Shop instruments depending on how beat up you want it.
