Should be picking it up this Saturday. The tech gave me an out the door quote 2 weeks ago and just today he adds another $150 saying there were extras. I don't see how re-soldering the electronics is an extra. He knew he had to do that 2 weeks ago. I knew he had to 6 months ago. I would have preferred doing the work myself, TBH. I just got laid off and that extra $150 is gonna sting a bit. I'll be glad when this whole ordeal is over. What an expensive and time-consuming accident this was. maybe I should have just sold off the parts and backed away slowly from the whole thing. :?

To late for that now. I know how that goes about the job lay off issues. You're in to deep to back out on it now though. I guess just do the $150., and get it over with.

Finally ready for pickup! Just this morning I had a vision of changing all the chrome hardware out to gold. It would look awsome with the green, but not sure about the pick guard. I'm sure I won't do it, but I thought it was interesting to imagine.

Great news! I'd leave it chrome myself. I really like that PG on it. I ordered that same PG just this morning for an Olympic White Am. Std. Jazz, from Fender.

Yea, wow, but I'm glad I held in. I considered getting something else altogether. Holy cow I forgot how great the tone was as well as how light it is. The neck almost weighs more than the body! Got a jam session on Sunday and I'm taking this lovely lady. 8)

So glad… so glad. :P
