I bought this a few years ago and I'm not sure exactly what it is? Its made in the USA and I believe it was made around 1997/1998. It doesn't have the classic clover leaf tuning pegs, Can anyone help?
what is my Jazz V Serial#N7273114 made in USA has GOTOH pegs

Welcome,

A couple of photos might be useful to further identify your bass.

The change to Schaller cloverleaf tuners occurred circa 1999/2000.

Looks like an Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass; however the one on the current website has an access route for the truss rod in the neck which I don't see in your photo. Photos of the body would be nice. Best wishes in your quest.

The Deluxe Active Jazz Bass is MIM and has the truss rod adjustment access at the headstock. The early versions of the American Standard Jazz V and American Deluxe Jazz V had the 5-on a side headstock arrangement, but the truss rod was adjusted from the body end of the neck (no truss rod hole at the headstock). So the only question I would have; is the bass is active or passive?

As Rob states it's an early American Deluxe Jazz Bass V with the Gotoh mini tuners and the infamous JS-designed «single pole» stacked humbuckers. We need further photos from the body, pickups, controls and pickguard to determine if it's really an American Deluxe or an American Standard.
