Hi guys I bought a preowned body that claims to be a 2006 American Jazz bass body, but I do not know how to confirm if this is an authentic Fender American Jazz bass Body 2006.

is there any guidelines that you can provide me to confirm it..

thanks and regards.

You are going to have to post good sharp photos. Especially of the neck pocket and any stampings/markings.

Sure are a lot of holes here, hmmmmm. the big one is a CNC guide.

It's not been refinished and that's a factory paint job. The bridge is most definitely a stock Fender.

there are numbers on your controls. What are they? Is that an S-1 switch?

these barcodes mean something or they wouldn't be there

The black shielding paint also points to an authentic Fender body

I'm no expert, and those that are will comment if they've a mind to. Hang in there 8)

About the Barcodes are there , no idea what they are .. these are under the Pickups.

In deed this is a S-1 Switch...

The numbers are the Resistor values and some other numbers ....

The bridge is Strings through body

So seems to be an American Fender authentic ?

What about the not clear values on the pocket i read APR // some like N // some kind of 02 or somethig... ???

Thanks in advance. ...

I'd confirm 2006 Jazz body-( or somewhere near there- if I say it is a 2006 for sure then I may get blasted by minute data from another poster) I have USA Fenders and they look just like that- therefore to me it looks like the "real deal"- meaning it looks like an actual US Fender body from the year you suggest or near to the year you suggest in as close proximity as I can tell from my basses of near the same year and from the posted pictures. THE s-1 switching helps define what year the item is in that the S-1 started at a specific time and was later discontinued . The stickers and markings and holes and routes are exact to the US basses I have and have seen. The USA Fender bass I have is an 03 and it has the S-1 switching. I'm pretty sure that someone can tell you when the s-1 was removed from production. I believe S-1 was only offered on US basses- being "pretty sure" is not saying 100% though. Some of the guys here are total scientists and they know more than me about screws, stickers, and cornbread pans. In an effort to help out I have posted my thoughts. :) Hows this for a disclaimer??? I think one ( disclaimer)should be included by each poster in case we have to go to court.

The phrase "anal-retentive" springs to mind.
