My old MIM 2001 jazz bass isn't shielded and I never liked sunburst anyways so I was thinking of buying a new body from Fender. Love the white or black.

Before I pull the trigger, are the pickup and control cavities shielded? If they aren't, I might not buy one. The already assembled jazz basses MIM apparently have shielding paint inside so I assume these same separate bodies are the same type as the ones that become built into full jazz basses?

Thanks

This body is shielded......

The others may be as well.

It doesn't look shielded. And I'm looking for MIMs not MIAs

This is for American Fender bodies. I am looking for Mexican made bodies.

Dude, they're only available in American. If you're gonna shell out the bucks for a new body, you can save your money and buy a NEW Mexican bass for the same money! Oh wait, then you'll have to shield it.
