I've read about that, and seen some footage about that. Did you ever get to see The Beatles at all, or at least see them when they were on "The Ed Sullivan Show?" I know that was a huge TV event.

I was able to see both go the Ed Sullivan shows with The Beatles on it. I was just a week or so shy of 12 for the first one. That was special.

So many people that saw that first show still know, or recognize when someone quotes Ed Sullivan yelling on the TV studio stage,......... "The Beatles"!!!!!! That meant only one thing, seeing The Beatles live on The Ed Sullivan Show Feb. 9, 1964.

It was one of those times that was up there like when JFK was assassinated. People recall where they were when the news was released about JFK. Similarly people recall where they were watching The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show. What a magical night that was, that somewhat changed the world. Or at least had an influence on it.

I'm sure that also started a lot of people wanting to start their own bands and all of that. That was certainly the golden age of instrument manufacturing and selling.

Yeah, it certainly was something that wasn't really repeated, and probably never will be. A certain moment in time, just for that time. I guess that's life, though. You could say that about a number of things, and/or events.

I've always said that the 60's, really was my time that I was supposed to be in. I was I guess like a lot of people from back then, that thought the 60's style of life would never end. It didn't last that long before things changed.

Yeah, the time when you are in your teens into your 20's are very impressionable in your life. It certainly was a time of mass change and turmoil.

You know, I wonder how much of the Vietnam War caused a lot of what happened during the 60's, since there was a lot of protesting and counter culture movement in reaction to it? You think the same things would have happened, sans any protesting? Maybe to some degree, because of Beatlemania, which happened before the war was escalated, but who knows about the whole hippy thing.

I don't know if it can be pin pointed down to one thing. I believe It was social feeling, or motivation for change during the Korean War. That was different than World War ll. Korea really had no decisive victory, so to speak. The "Genie was out of the bottle, and the nuclear age was unleashed upon the world," and an almost, "we're all going to die any way. I'd rathe die young, than old!"

Yeah, there was the whole Cold War thing, Communism, and all of that. They still had that going on up into the late 80's/early 90's, when placed like Russia figured out it was better to try and make some money, instead.
