Hey, thanks for the advice. I got mine in the cherry red and it sounds as great as it looks. The low end punch of the B-string is great, its crystal clear and powerful. My guitarist gets out of the way when I turn up the bass boost. What else could a bassist ask for? lol

just posted on the P-bass board about why I prefer the P-V I just got (they finally came out with one this year!).

The sound of my Jazz-V deluxe is good, I get compliments on it all the time. I just never fell in love wiith it. The neck is both wide and thick and reaching down to the low B during a long night of playing gets uncomfortable. Same for the weight of this thing. It doesnt bother me the first hour but as the night wears on I appreciate it less and less.

I am not forsaking the J but I gotta tell ya, it's subtle but for whatever reason, the new P-V just feels wonderful in comparison!
