James, I've been looking at the CS 60's pups. The ad says they're overwound, but comparing specs to other Fender JB pups they have the lowest resistance value. The CS would likely sound the most like the ones I have in it now though. You wanna make up my mind for me?

I wouldn't mind at all :) Hey what pickups came stock in your MIJ 75 Reissue Jazz?
I'm guessing American Vintage single coil Jazz bass pickups?
I like the 60's Custom Shop pickups because they're over wound & are supposed to have a lot of punch,....& there's Also Fender American '75 Reissue single coil Jazz bass pickups that were used in the 75 American reissue Jazz Bass,....they're supposed to be wide open with a focused sound :)
Check out the link: http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/bass ... azzusa.htm

I also like the Vintage Noiseless pickups my Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass has a vintage noiseless bridge pickup,...it's punchy & warm .

That's what I had read about the CS pups too. Overwound and punchy. I'm hoping that whatever I find have a bit more midrange than the last set does and have more punch. The set that's in it has a lot of deep low end, they might be the 75 Reissue set but I don't know. I'd like something that makes the low end crisp and the high end fat. Something good for funk, blues and soul.
The 75 Reissue does sound tempting though, I'll check them out.

Mr. Nylon - yes, you're right about the Am Del using N3's. I believe it is the new Am Std that has CS 60's, beginning this year or last year.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna see what I can find out about the 75 Reissue.

I really like the CS 60's on both P, and J Basses. I get a good deep rich sound with them on my Fretless Jazz.

Haven't seen the Rumble 3 yet. The Rumble series are nice amps, just not big enough for larger venues. I'll have to look at the Rumble 3.

If 500 watts and eight 10's aren't enough for ya then you need a bigger & better PA.

LOL Linnin! True dat. :)
So this Rumble series is new for 2014? Cool! I wasn't aware that Fender made an amp bigger than 200W, until now. I like the Rumble combos though, and played a Fender 2x8 cab through a Fender head once that sounded killer in the store.
There are two stores in town that carry Fender gear, but they don't have a big assortment. I've been to four big stores here in Missouri, but they are all over 100 miles away so I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like at any of them.
I had seen the link to the 75 Reissue that James posted but still would like to know more about them. I'll keep looking.
Thanks for the links guys!
