Hi folks there, I am from central Europe. I need your help. I would like to sell my bass and buy new left handed one. Can somebody identify my old Jazz Bass and set its approximate price? Thank you for your help.

Better roadwarn than shopwarn isnt it? The pickups are sure original, but still have an excelent sound. Thank you both for that quick replies.

Roadworn Vintage Bass for a collector ( who pay more ) is not as sought after as a mint bass .
But original pickups is a must , sure they may have a very good sound , that is why vintage instrument are sought after .
Don't put new new pickps like you do with olds string

If the neck is not all warped sideways and what not I think it's in great shape and I'd love to have it.

The question is= How many people are real collectors anyway? The vast majority of bass owners etc are not. When I look at a bass I don't think about collectors. ( no offense Affprod) . Collector prices are the best way to judge the value of a bass so collecting is good for that. Collecting collector class guitars is not bad. Being the player class guy I am ==the most important thing to me is neck condition. If it's warped, if it needs frets, if it has a good truss going on, if it needs a shim or any thing else. If the body looks like that- like it's been played a lot- then maybe it has a good sound....right? Anyway I like it and I'd like to have more like it. I have a 72 Jazz that's pretty beat- but it took years for the guy to achieve that cause he played the heck out of it.

 You could make a trade. Stroker Vance could buy a left-handed American Standard Jazz bass and ship it to you far cheaper than you could buy one anywhere in Europe especially in the former Soviet Bloc. 8)

Oh! Welcome fellow lefty Bass Bro! (sorry, I forgot)

Nice- too bad I can't check out the 68 before I do it. I have a six string left handed bass though.

  You could fly over and make the exchange at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. 8)

We will Probably make a deal with a player living only 50 miles far from me. We did talk about 60t CZK. Its somewhere around 3t USD. The neck is in good condition I think. I played it hundreds concerts in last ten years (you can hear it here for an example http://youtu.be/eTHaplMbWJ8 http://youtu.be/4ILMnf1E9gs). And my plan is to order this http://kytary.cz/fender-american-standard-jazz-bass-lh-rw-3sb/HN128159/

I haven't looked closely. The missing pup and bridge covers hurts, as the does the hole in the lower horn to make it a lefty, bridge (?) but it is still a 68, assuming everything else is original. The wear makes it look like it was played righty for a long time. Kind of cool. I think the estimated prices listed are good, but it may even be worth a bit more. That would require an in hand inspection, or at least more detailed pics.

If you look closely at the serial number on the neck plate the first two digits appear to be over stamped. The 2 and the 5 are of a different font than the stock Fender font for their serial numbers.

That would be a problem for me.
