Yes, I do. I have an Ibanez fretless. I play it a fair amount. I can play it without embarrassing myself. I think.

This is my actual bass, that I bought from Sweetwater, except it has the infamous D'Addario nylon strings on it now. It growls and purrs with a mellow organic tone.

Nice, I like Ibanez basses.
The necks on that series are quite nice.
But I haven't been able to try a fretless one, I haven't found one locally, but if I did I'd compare that to the fretless Fender Jazz Basses.
I like those as well, and the J Bass is my most likely purchase.

I have to touch a guitar or bass before I buy it. I need to see what it feels like to hold it.
So unless it's a gift or a prize, I won't be getting an Ibanez unless I get to try one out and I like it better than the J Bass.

Nice Ibanez Modwiz,... I used to have a fretted version, they have awesome fast playing necks......I sold mine 2 yrs ago to make space for a 2011 American Deluxe Jazz 5 that I was buying... :)

My main bass is a walnut stained SR600 with Bartolini pups. The one I am playing in my avatar. They have great tone. For a non Fender bass, of course.

I have forgotten how nice a fretless plays. It will be nice though, having my Precision too.

You'll have to find out the hard way. You had to push the envelope.

No wonder you'll use that guitar as an axe. It doesn't have nylon strings. Very logical.

Nice fretless MR. Nylon! I've been noodling on mine every day a little. I'm glad I got one. I kind of stumbled into it though.

Thank you SV. Sweetwater Sound did a great job getting it here.
I just like the feel of the fretless board. The smooth, and sliding feel. I'm glad I went back to one also. It's a nice switch off from the Precision at times too.

All this time, I thought Mr. Nylon was just some jokester that found a bunch of pics of a guy holding different basses, then I see him with brand new stuff. Hopefully, he still owns all the basses he's been seen with, and didn't take loss after loss in trading/selling them.

No, he's a real person. With a Precision, and two Jazzes.

Well I'm glad you got away from that goofy Rickenbacker. Hate those things.

The Rics are different. I played a 4003FL once. Really a nice feel, but trying to get one is a total pain. Plus, Ric has stopped production of the 4003FL. I'll go with Fenders over Rics, and I'm not to crazy about the Gibsons anymore.
