I already have a set waiting. I'm thing about changing the PG from Tort, to Pearl White.

Just get another bass, you KNOW you want to!

One change to the plan. I'm putting on a Black Pearl PG, on the Fretless. It should deliver Thursday, the 26th. 8) I'm not sure when the Black Pearl PG will show up. Two basses are enough.

No...... you just keep doing what you're doing. You're giving Fenders a good home. How noble of you. 8)

The Black Pearl PG's gonna looks Slick with the 3 tone sunburst,... & with the Nylon's I'm sure you're gonna put on it you'll never have to ever really worry about fretboard marking etc that the rest of us worry about from using rounds.. :)
That being said I've been thinking ...... I think it's time for Fender to bring back a P Bass Fretless with a maple fretboard,....I think there's a market for it.

Hi James, I agree with everything you just said. I got the idea from OX, using the Black Sparkle PG, (I think that's the type of PG on his BEBE). I like the Pearl look.
The Nylons are easy on a Rosewood Board, and with the right amp, and settings, has sooooooo much bottom to it. The Markbass amps are Heavy on bottom. A JBass played through a Markbass can have a 60's Gibson EB-3 sound to it. 8)
A PBass Fretless Maple would be an absolute awesome AXE! I'm partial to Maple myself. Love to see that in an Am. Std.

It's look & gonna sound awesome!! I'm also partial to Maple,... though I do love the Pao Ferro fret board on my Jaco. I think that there's more bassists than ever playing fretless & I find that there's a nostalgia growing for the early maple fretboard fretless P Basses.
Maple would be the perfect hardwood for a Fretless.

Being a Precision fan, a fretless Precision would be SO sweet!

That would be great also. I do like my Maple Precision with frets. My Olympic White Precision, Maple Fretboard, and White PG. (the Good). The 3-Color Sunburst Jazz, Rosewood Fretless Board, and Black Pearl PG (the Dark-Side). 8)

The Black Pearl PG arrived from Fender today. Yeahhhh Fender. It only took three days in the mail, from the day I ordered it. Excellent time for filling an order. Bravo Fender! :D All I need now, is the Jazz to install it on.

You got the pickguard BEFORE you got the bass? Oh no! Do you realize the ramifications? Oh the humanities! The only thing to do is, when the bass arrives, DO NOT OPEN IT! Send it to me and after it hangs out with mine for, say, 13 or 14 months it should be O.K.!

That's very reassuring that would do that. That you would sacrefice your time to take another Fender in. But are you sure you would really want another fretless Jazz? I don't think so. You're to consumed with BEBE. And besides, my fretless is still unnamed. This one may take a bit of time to name her.

Rest assured, it will be no problem to have Abbey, I mean the yet to be named fretless, come to stay. All of my basses are excited and my Strat is anxious too.

Really, it won't be a problem. There is more than enough room for her and the room they hang out in is warm and dry, not too dry, just right, They have their own TV, internet and even a fridge.

That's really freaky! I was thinking of the name Abbey, from Abbey Road.
