The fret lines make that easier to do, but the one I had didn't have those on it. I had to go by the fret markers on top of the neck and wing it.

The fret markers work fine for a guide at times, just to make sure you're in the ball park.

I don't think they originally put those on fretless basses back in the day. At least Fender didn't.

I don't know. I've noticed a few people that have disappeared that use to post here all of the time, usually in the bass amp section.

There's a new fretless model being made. It looks like this is the series that is replacing the American Standard series. They have some new finishes, too. 8)
