I'll use Velcro over Elmer's Glue anytime.

I'd be staying away from chicken wire, barbed wire, and nails too!

No, that wouldn't be too comfortable. :P
I just realized that we totally derailed this thread. I think we've had a habit of doing that over the years. :P

We do have a way of doing that.

I don't know if I ever asked you this (probably did,) but have you ever played the MIM fretless Jazz? They are seemingly still making those and I wonder how those play? I really don't have much of an opportunity to go to a music shop and mess around with stuff like that like I did back in the day.

Not recently. I did have the MIM Standard Fretless Jazz, Arctic White, in the last year of the run of Arctic White on the Fretless. A Super Bass. I had a Quan BA ll on it. It was strung with D'Addario Flats.

Sounds good. 8) I have a Leo Quan BA II on my Squier Jazz. I originally had it on the Peavey, but decided to swap it out and file the fret ends on the Squier so it's actually playable now. I think I did that at least a year ago, or almost anyway. That would be cool if they made fretless necks for sale like they do with the regular ones around here so you could put that on any color Jazz (maybe Precision, too) bass you want or might have. That's one way of doing that instead of a pair of pliers and wood putty. :P

You can get an after-market Fretless neck, and slap it on.

Yeah, Warmoth has a good reputation for turning out top notch necks.

I think they are licensed by Fender, too. The Fender style replacements.
