I put these pickups in my jazz bass with tree cts volume tone pots.I'm no expert but these pickups are very noisy I think something is wrong with the wiring or are difective .... I need you to give me some diagrams or post me your wiring, the pickups
are noisy when I touch the strings and the sound fades but always high and most touching magnets feel the blow of noise gnd ...

kind of looks like you have some wires you don't need. . You need to get the standard USA Jazz wiring diagram. If you have a flouresent light near by- turn it off when you plug the bass in to test it. You can do a general search for wiring diagrams on your comp and just copy when they come up on the screen.

I have never wired all those outside lugs together so I can't tell what that is about. It may work but that wont be on the Fender diagram.

hello thank you for the answer.i eliminated the cable red.I soldered everything according to the form attached in package pickups fender, everything works fine
but the only problem is that the hum disappears if I touch the strings with the hands,.gnd points are all ok .... what could it be? route an internal coil?
do not work as humbuckers behave like single coils
in the case of an internal coil was broken as I know? how i can check? thanks

if it hums when you touch the strings that's usually a grounding problem. My guitars will make a little noise if they are disasembled without strings and pickguard etc.. and I check to see if they are working properly. If the bass is fully assembled and wired right with the strings on it in playing condition and it buzzes when you touch any metal that's a ground prob. -- but it could be something else.
Brother Dave is the man who will fill you in on it. He types fast and can go deep and cover all bases for you. I'm lazy and type slow.

This may be a last resort, but inspect the grounding pigtail wire under the bridge. Once in awhile, that pigtail of ground wire becomes corroded OR the area on the underside of the bridge that is supposed to contact that wire corrodes and no longer makes a good contact. Also, make sure that the bridge ground pigtail wire isn't broken in it's channel or in the control bay, as well as making certain that it is soldered properly to the body of one of the controls. (common ground)

To inspect that bridge ground pigtail and underside of the bridge:

Loosen the strings - carefully remove the bridge screws and inspect the underside of the bridge as well as the condition of the pigtail ground wire. The underside of the bridge plate can be cleaned with 400 grit sandpaper and then wiped down with rubbing alcohol and the wire pigtail can be CAREFULLY scraped clean with a very small knife blade. BE CAREFUL. Reassembe and see if that helps. (This maintenance should be done at least once each year anyway to make certain that the bridge is grounded properly to the controls.)

Best of luck.

ty i try it now but i think pickups are broken....
I measured the pickup with a multimeter on the scale 200kOhm
NECK PICKUP WHITE GREEN BLACK:
WHITE + GREEN = NO VALUE TO READ THE METER IS NOT SIGNS.
WHITE + BLACK = 9:19
BRIDGE PICKUP YELLOW GREEN BLACK.
YELLOW + GREEN = NO VALUE TO READ THE METER IS NOT SIGNS
YELLOW + BLACK = 10.85
PS
SO BROKEN RIGHT? or are ok?

I don't think 200K ohms is the right setting on the multi- meter- unless you check active pickups differently than passives.

I have the feeling that sound just a touch of the internal coils because when the external magnets on the first reel on the left where there the E string, you hear the mass, while those on the other side outer (second roll) G string does not feel the mass . Example the pickup has 8 magnets: if I touch the first magnet (first coil) on the E string feel the ground (hum) while if you touch the last magnet on the sol or the king (the second coil), I feel nothing and as there was no signal on the coils of the sun and of the king, so do not know if normal and thank you .....

Put the multi-meter on 20k ohms and do the same test. The pickups are not broken, you have a wiring error. Reverse the leads of one pickup at the controls. No bass should make noise when you touch strings, the bass should get quieter.

ImageTHANKS I measured them in the same way 20KOHM MULTIMETER give the same values ...... can you tell me what needs to be put on the tone pot? in the attached diagram does not specify anything ... look at the picture ..... I do not know what to put on the tone pot capacitor etc etc
my pot is tone and volume logaritmic 250kohm fender cts
ps you telle me to reverse one lead but i dont understand what lead u mean?

1th pot volume
neck green black White= green and black to gnd up tone pot and White on pot 2 input...input 2 to input 1 bridge pot
2th pot volume
bridge green black Yellow green and black to gnd on pot and Yellow on 2 input...
input 1 to input 1 of tone pot
3th pot volume(this is for tone)
1 input to jack1/4
capacitor input 2 to gnd up pot bridge gnd cable to all pots to gnd jack 1/4
and what is the other on diagram?

forgive me pls for my bad english...

Pickups are likely fine. Rewire EXACTLY per the diagram that DOM580 posted. Multimeter readings are going to be OFF because the wiring is WRONG unless you disconnect them from the pots to measure them because the pots are WIRED WRONG. There are TOO MANY WIRES. Not all lugs get wired in this diagram and you have every lug wired up and that is WIRED WRONG.

P Luke and Stoker V's advice to check the ground wire is SOUND for anyone having ground issues. However in this case your primary problem is THE WIRING IS WRONG. It is VERY VERY VERY VERY WRONG. If after you get it wired correctly you still have a ground issue then your bridge ground needs attention.

Seek professional help if you can't figure out the diagram Dom 580 posted. Rewire it EXACTLY like the diagram. Lug 3, the 3rd lug from the left on both volume pots should be vacant. Also I'd seek out a vintage ceramic disc tone cap, but that is just me.

Fix the wiring. Your problem is NOT the pickups at this point.
