Greetings fellow bassists! :D

I'm not too sure on how to choose the right pots. I read up on other forums about resistance and other stuff like that, but it's still kind of confusing to me at the moment. So the big question is: how do I choose my pots? As of now I have a Modern Player jazz bass completely stock and I plan on heavily modding the absolute CRAP out of it. Even the electronics might get a change out. I'm adding a precision bass pick in place of the middle humbucker (SD SPB-3), and I was thinking of volume/tone stack knobs for both pups, and having a push-pull switch to turn the bridge humbucker into a single coil, and the third pot being bass/mid/treble (which ever would be the best option). Is it possible to have a push-pull while also having it a volume/tone stack knob? And how do I find out which pot is the right one for each pickup? What about the bass/mid,treble pot? All help will be greatly appreciated! :D

Thanks!

The golden rule is 250k for single coil and 500k for humbucker. Some active pickups however do get into the 1meg category.
