I have a Jazz Bass that I purchased from an individual and do not know what model it is.
It is Olympic White in color, has a three band equalizer, has passive only pickups, output jack is on the edge, rose wood finger board and no serial number to be found. The neck plate has no markings. The front of the head stock has "Fender" in big letters and " Jazz Bass with trade mark" in small letter. The back of the head stock is blank.

+1!

Photos are needed to further examine your bass.

No serial # to be found makes me think it's a parts bass or a stolen bass.

From what little info we've been give I can say that the three band passive EQ was never stock on any Fender Jazz Bass I know about. I don't think there is even such a thing as 3 band passive EQ. I bet there's a battery in there and you just don't see a battery compartment. Remove the control plate screws and peek under it. Bet you see a 9 volt battery! LOL

Or (possibly, but not as 100% certain) a fake.

To me a "three band equalizer" means just that. No such passive animal I know about.
