Charles Duckwurthie ( steel guitar) said he saw Fenton hitch hiking thru the Appalachian Pass last Tuesday. I guess his (Fentons) car broke down or something.

I'd say if you get bored and if you have the skills or even not-- you can always start collecting parts and a body and neck and make your own bass as long as it looks like a Fender. That way you'll have good Karma.

My new HONK Macheen is still on the table with all my cards. I'm moving into polishing frets and then it's time to put it all back together. I refuse to stop writing about it. It's my World and I'm sticking to it. :D :?:

I understand some of FF's basses, the street artist models from "those years" are now on display here.

He'll be making his way to Minnesota for the next ten years, the way he' going.

There was probably nothing wrong with his car, he just forgot he had it with him, again. there's a 1972 MG Midget in my driveway with a cover over over it, he left without it two years ago. I run it now and then, keep it operational and know he'll show up with a case of Dr. Pepper, hang for a while, then jump in it and go.

If you want to see Fenton's 1983 Precision, the one he used on the Leon Russel tour, it's here.

Of course that was Fenton in the Chuckie Cheese suit, he always played for a laugh, and he always has a flock of women around him.

I had a 72 MGB. Shouldn't have sold it but that's what x wives are all about.

I'm going to have to take my new old bass to my lutherre... luthier... luther... lutherre,,, uh... you know the guy who makes guitars, I always have a problem with the word luithierorerrer or what ever the heck it is. I don't even think I ever say the word right even. I just call him the guy who builds guitars from scratch. And I never call it a scratch plate. It's a pick guard. Yeh I need some pro evaluation. I'm tired of making all the decisions,. :|

That's all right stroker. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to admit you need professional help. The luthier is your friend.

Well I guess I DO need pro evaluation. I've had that before but I always end up changing nuts. I go from plastic to bone. I have had brass nuts also.

I'm a bit upset with the neck on the Groove Machine. I know no one is paying attention. I'm used to that with bass players.

I resent that! I"m paying attention.....er, uh, what were we talking about?

Oh yeah, green mangos, I just let them sit on the counter, I knew a guy who put them in a brown paper bag and only looked at them after dark. I don't know why. He was a bass player too. I think you know him.

There's a rise at the heel. Not a lot but enough to have to take it to my friend who builds guitars from scratch who is featured in VG magazine in September. You heard it here first.

I don't know if he'd be upset if I told you all he was building an acoustic for Mark Farner right now. I don't know why it would be top secret. The word is going to get out about this guy sooner or later. He has never tried to sell guitars. People contact him because they have seen or played an axe that he has built. He's built them for people all over the country. It's an interesting story. His career is not Music or building guitars.

Anyway just a tid bit....... :D
