This youtube clip is a glowing report. Dude probably works for a guitar shop. Sorry, it's in German, but he says it's high quality wood and parts, American made. And he gives a good demonstration of many tones we get out of our JBs. He says, it does what it's supposed to do.

He is, an employee, ...their staff do the videos, I think Session Music does a great job reviewing bass gear, I watch a lot of their video's & I get the Jist of what they're saying,............ I knew that watching a lot of Hogans Heroes & listeng to The Scorpions as a kid would eventually pay off & be of use...... :D

I lived in Germany for 10 years. I've been back in the US for almost 11 years. My German is very rusty, but I got most of it.

Great playing though, hey?

Germany is a place I'd like to visit,... & yes you're right the playing is good,... all of the guys that do the video's are decent players,..... when ever I see one of their reviews for amps or basses I'm always impressed with the bass playing, it's not some guy playing over the top self indulgent Victor Wooten or Steve Bailey licks that have nothing to do with the advertised product & they also don't go into one of those "hey look at me play" spazzed out slap attacks on the bass. Remember it's the product that's being advertised & not the reviewers bass licks....(I should mention that I am a fan of both Bailey & Wooten)

I heard him say "perfect" quite a few times. Don't know what amp he was using, but great tone! :)

I have Victor Wootens "Live in America" great CD I also have Palmestry & a CD bundle of his two recent CD's relased at the same time last Fall titled "Sword & Stone & Words & Tones,....... the only way to fully enjoy this release is to buy both CD's or MP3's as one Recording is Instrumental & the 2nd recording has mostly the same songs but with Vocals.... interesting stuff & worth doling out the cash :)
Another great CD is the collabaration he did with Stanley Clarke & Marcus Miller.
they called them selves SMV & the recording is titled "Thunder" this is a must have piece of music for all bassists,........there's some SMV performances on You Tube.
