I want to play fast like greased butter lightning rods. I want to fret right on the lines NOT in between. I need this to happen.... I like bologna.....(I'm talking myself into going fretless).

Do it!!! & hey I've got a quick question with regard to the Tony Franklin Fretless,.....as you know it has an unlined neck with side dot markers ,...... Since there's never ever been one of these in my area to check out ,..I'm curious to know if on this bass do you play your notes a little bit ahead of the side dot marker or at the side dot marker?
As I mentioned before my Jaco bass has the side dot marker on the fret line (I got one of the last ones made llike this) current versions including the American Standard Fretless now have the side dot centered (so to be in tune you'd still play on the line,.........anyway at some point I think this is the next step for me to challenge myself,(an unlined fretless with side markers)...... I think it's a pretty cool well made MIA bass that doesn't get a lot of mention... :)

Never mind I answered my own question,..... in the Spec's section for The Tony Franklin Fretless it says that the side dot markers are located at the fretting points of the fret board.
I figured that it would be laid out in this manner,.......Cool!! :)
This beast has a unique roar (tone) when both P-bass & Jazz bass pickups are engaged & it's passive!! :)

Yes! You're listening to the right voices! Go fretless!
