Just wondering, for which reason Fender has forgot to make Rustic Ash basses?

The California giant should release a rustic ash-bodied Jazz Bass to fit the bill and make bassists happy! :P

Giants are known for being a little dim-witted.
And mean.

I take it that Fender produces Rustic Ash guitars? I don't try to keep up with all the variations of Fenders multi arsenal. I know there are multitudes of Jazzes, P's and etc. What is a Rustic Ash ? That's a new one I've never heard of and the first time I've seen it mentioned on the bass boards. Sounds interesting. I'm leaning towards thinking it's Custom Shop. Right?

Though I dislike the brown anodized guard for the existing colour schemes I prefer seeing it on darker translucent finishes like ebony transparent, walnut stain and brownburst.

I keep reading it as "Rustic $@! Jazz Bass".

I'd really like a rustic-ass jazz bass.

I thought it was just a primer coat. Take it to an artist or paint it yourself. I'd do that anyway. Pretty damn ugly as is. Modifing and personalizing your instrument is indicative of creative genius. 8)

thanks James- now I know what it is I'm a bit perplexed? It looks like they use a nice piece of wood but not much interest on my part. Fender like all companies or even more so seem to always be making variations to satisfy customers and I guess that's what it's all about. It would be nice if car companies did the same thing. Like interior colors for new cars. I think I'd like Rustic Ash leather seats in a nice tan color. Or Blue interior in my Black Rustic Ash Jeep---Nice that would be.

Bacon, egg,cheese-- 57 Vintage bacon, egg,tomato-Reissue bacon, egg ,sausage,cheese--Rustic Egg, cheese, sausage- Sausage pickups with ,cheese, biscuit, egg cheese roll, roll bacon egg with cheeseandsausageburritowith egg cheeseandbiscuitcheesesausagebacon melt baconcheeseegg 1962bacon vintage cheese biscuit with cheese and bacon.........I just want them all.

I hear ya,.....a nice as they all are it does get a little ridiculous,....with the constant Bass guitar choices being added ......I can understand this being done with bass amps as technology is always changing hence the popularity of D class amplifiers, & Neodimium speakers,.... now you can get a big sound in a smaller light weight package.....a win win for us older guys 45yrs & up who don't want to break our backs lugging gear

yeh amps are a bit different though-- The big thing with amps for guitarists was the boutique amps with 1 12 craze for $4379 even if they were only worth about $500. Those poor suckers have to deal with that. We have it a little better-- but if we tried we could find a new Jazz for $5000 I'm sure.
