I drive a 2002 Jeep Liberty that I bought brand new. I love it. Solidly reliable, it takes me where I want to go - road or no road. Hauls me and my dog and my gear.

She wanted an SUV of sorts, there was a Rouge she liked, but the way things happen to her, a smaller car is less likely to get banged up, yeah, right.

I bought a 2007 Nissan Versa new. It'll be paid off in about 8 months, or so. I've dogged that thing, but it still runs great. Could use some body work.

Lincoln MKX. It's a crossover so it looks like an SUV but is on a car frame. Holds my stuff, but not the entire PA without serious packing engineering. I like the fact it is easy for this old dude to get into and out of, and has enough creature comforts to make me happy. The 11 speaker THX system is really awesome.

This thread put me on a trip down memory lane when we used to install 8 track systems and reverb units in our cars....man, we have come a long way.

Sounds sweet. I remember getting a 4 track tape player installed in my Mom's 1965 Galaxy 500 for the Prom. It already had reverb in the twin 6" x 9" speakers in the back deck and we were able to use the factory reverb. Good Lord I'm old.

I started this thread with the intention of drawing more oeople into posting. we have a great core group now, come on people quit stalking and start talking!

Anyone else notice we lean towards the conservative side as far as vehicles?

grho50, you have a couple of cuties!

On topic, I drive a '98 Dodge Grand Caravan. I used to drive a Suburban, but my dogs got too old to jump up into it, and I needed something with a lower floorboard. It's a great little utility vehicle. All wheel drive, which is nice for winters.

Eventually I will do that and then I'll cruise up to the Clarion(?) River and cruise the river road and explore a bit. I did that a long time ago on my "Western PA Expedition" , circa 1988. The Exploration team spent two days in the PA wilderness searching for the ultimate cruising roads and sites such as covered bridges and beaver dams (just kidding about the beaver dams). We found mostly rusty old coal towns. We didn't get to spend as much time as wanted. The best rusults may have been to go farther East and examine Amish territories..and butter making sites.
