I think I just have one that came with both.

I actually like them in the "thumb rest" position. I play the front a lot and without one my thumb usually finds the neck butt.

Ahhhh the Fender Coronado II Bass! For a short scale bass it felt BIG!

That brings back memories. The Coronado II was my first bass guitar in 1970. Sure was a pretty guitar  Wish I still had it.

I've got my eye on a fretless Jazz just like Bebe, if I can talk them down a little.

Good luck, hope it works out.

They won't come down on the price. It's too nice of a bass to be grinding away on..with the roundwound strings, anyway.

I think I prefer a cheapo fretless with aftermarket upgrades...

DO NOT!! I repeat DO NOT get a fretless Squier. They are junk. I have yet to see a post that didn't slam them, and I have played three or four and they were all bad. I'm not a Squier hater, I own a VM Modified Jazz, I'm very happy with it.

Now for those of you that love your fretless Squier bass, this is my opinion, just my own observations. (Sorry people, they suck)

Save your money and be patient. Something will come along.

I might just get a regular four string and sand down the frets. I hope for it to have the P and J pickup configuration.

I couldn't bring myself to destroy a Squier Classic Vibe.

not sure if you wanted to go this route, but if you could get a body you like for a decent price, throw a used fretless neck on it for like $100 or less . . .
