I know you're all anxious to hear what's happening with my latest acquisition. Placed the order for all the things that will make her complete.

As soon as everything is done, I'll post the pics! :D

Just for the hell of it, here's Bebe as she came to me.

If I didn't know better, I'd say there's a pup cover, and an ash tray in BEBE's future. There really is nice wood on BEBE too.

I probably should have ordered them yesterday, you just had to bring that up, huh? :D

brotherdave gave me the lowdown on this bass. The wood was from the USA plant, seconds from the USA models. the neck was also made in the USA, the sunburst models got the better pieces because of the cosmetic value. He even described the neck, super fine grain, almost non-existent unless you really look, and it's the slimmest neck I've ever played.

Damn it Mr. Nylon, now you got me thinking about the covers! I did prder a thumbrest.

Go OX GO!!! You know you would have eventually installed those two other parts. You just like them. I like the looks of them, but not enough to go for them. There's a new Jazz in town ya' know. Image

Bebe...named after the overly priced women's clothing brand?

Dig the SB Jazz.

I didn't mind getting back to the Jazz. The Ric never had the extra bottom to it.

Oxfan, I look forward to seeing your project complete. Mr. Nylon has you going for covers. I can dig covers. But watch out, next thing you know he will be talking to you about D'Addario ETB92 nylon tapewound strings. After that, who knows, maybe Candy Cola / Maple outfit. Once you get involved with guys like that.....I'm just sayin....before you know it....nylon junkie.

Be safe.

BeBe La-strange- I remember that from somewheres. Anyhoo I too am waiting with baited breath ( I got hungry when I was fishing) to view the ominous Fenderism. I won't spoil it and tell which Pguard you got-- well -- now I'm not sure.

Thank you-the only man in The US that can not post pics on here= SV

If you look at my signature, you'll see that my Precision and my other Jazz have covers installed, as well as, thumb rests, YES thumb rests, that's what they are to me. In all probability, Bebe will have covers.

I spend the majority of the time at the 19th. fret, so covers don't interfere. As James Jamerson said, "Mr. Leo Fender had a reason for putting them on." That's good enough for me. Time will tell. that new pickguard will need to be seen!

She already has D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewound Strings on her, again, thank you Mr.Nylon! He was kind enough to send me a set, and they are really great. I can see where they may not be for everyone, but I like them. the tension is ideal. not too tense, not too sloppy. Pardon all the professional jargon.

I can see how you could get hooked on them I have four basses with four different set-ups resulting in four unique entities. Different strings on each.
