2003 MIM Jazz Bass.
Sage Green Metallic, Mint green pic guard, and cream pickup covers.
I rewired with cloth wiring, 250k pots, .047 PIO soviet tone cap, and push/pull pot for
series/parallel switching. My first Jazz, I've got a '98 MIM Squier Pbass too, and I'm in
love! :D

Jazzy! What diagram did you use for the wiring? Good tone cap choice with bright pickups too. Are those Bartolini pickups?

With the push-pull pot engaged in series mode your axe is capable to produce some good thumpy P-Bass tones.

This mod is far better than the S1 switch.

I like it.

Stock pickups as far as I can tell. Cream covers. Never been a fan of green, but this thing changed my mind. brotherdave, I picked that tone cap after reading your very helpful page. http://cdn.seymourduncan.com/pdfs/suppo ... ass_sp.pdf this is the diagram I used. It came with some flat wounds with purple wrapping on the ends. I'm not much of a flat wound fan so I put a set of GHS Boomers on it. The flats got soaked in denatured alcohol for a few days and hung on my Pbass.
Thanks for the nice words everyone. I can't hardly put this thing down.

Denatured alcohol. Never heard of that one. I'll probably never try it because i can't resist buying strings on sale, so I've got a few extra sets on hand all the time.

I do like your bass and am glad you're happy. I've bought basses just because the were awesome, didn't matter what they looked like.

Enjoy!

I had never done it before, but I had heard and read about doing it to extend the life of flatwounds. I wanted to give the flats a chance, just not on this bass.
