Hi Chris (alias Highway) Yes the sale went well( I bought it from Highway at a great coffee shop.

It's a MIM with Bartolini pickups, brought her home and tried her out. She's very happy here.

Great condition and will be seeing a lot of playing time in the near future.

Yeah, I'm very pleased with her. from what i deciphered from the Fender dating chart, it's a 1997-1998. i e-mailed brotherdave the serial, waiting for a report. She's in remarkable shape and I made a new friend,

Thanks again Chris.

the pleasure is all mine! i can't tell you how excited i am that she has a good home with a proper musician!

that bass would have seen no justice staying here (zero play time), so i am really really really excited to get her to someone who could appreciate her properly . . .

that bass was waaaaaaay too nice to not be played. mexican fender in sunburst with those pickups is an amazing setup, and the neck/intonation should be perfect as well.

Congrats oxfan.

You'll have to post some pics. You know I love pics!

I like the way you think highwayy. I hate to own a good bass that's just sitting around not getting the playing time it deserves. Sold a few for that very same reason myself. Actually own a couple right now that I'm thinking about doing the same.

thanks! the pic thread i posted for the sale is here: http://imgur.com/a/KFy4n#0

now that that has been posted, i can take down the sale thread :P

i'm down to one bass, and i plan to keep it that way until i get good enough to warrant some more gear . . . i would love a beater bass (for cheap) to use for other tunings, and to learn how to set up a neck, etc. on . . .

Didn't Nylon have a blue bass once, or twice, or three times?
Maybe he'll have one again.

Yeah '97 model year. If you email Consumer Relations they might can give you a bunch more info. Good pickup upgrade for a fretless. Light flats are in order if you want a passive fusion machine.

yup, i didn't change the strings, but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea . . . i wasn't too fond of whatever was on there after putting labellas on my fretted.
