Hi All,
the people on basschat suggested I ask here:
I have a 2006 US Standard jazz bass, which pickups were these fitted with?
The current US Standard has "Fender Custom Shop '60s Jazz Bass single-coil pickups."
I built a fretless bass last year and I'd like to fit the same pickups in it, a couple of basschatters said that mine are probably "Fender Original Jazz bass pickups"

Neck Pickup is Fender Part 0033753000 " Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Pickup."
Bridge Pickup is Fender Part 0033746000 "Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Pickup."
The parts diagram is here: http://support.fender.com/service_diagr ... A_SISD.pdf

Hi Dave,
thanks for your response but there are still some problems.
The drawing shows a slightly different model, mine has the S1 switch, I'll double check the serial number but I'm pretty certain it's a 2006.
The other problem is that searching online for Fender pickups the term "Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Pickup" doesn't come up with any relevant results.
There are four different Fender jazz pickups shown on their website http://www.fender.com/en-GB/accessories/pick-ups/
These include the "Custom Shop '60s Jazz Bass® Pickups" fitted to the present generation of US Standards (from 2012), the opinions I've heard so far are that mine is something else , probably the "Original Jazz Bass Pickups"
It would be nice to know before I spend any money.

The ORIGINAL JAZZ pickups are used on certain USA VINTAGE REISSUES (but not all) and so far as I recall were never stock on any American Standard Jazz. Unless someone changed yours before you got it then it probably has what were called AMERICAN STANDARD JAZZ BASS PICKUPS. I do not believe these were never sold as an aftermarket pickup pair and thus never listed on the accessories page. The Fender Original Vintage P-Bass Pickup isn't on the accessories page either, but it is out there as even Amazon sells them. I do not think the American Standard Jazz Pickups were sold as a packaged retail accessory like some of the other pickups. The American Standard Jazz Bass Pickups are Alnico USA pickups. The Custom Shop pickups replaced them in the past model year I think. They fitted those American Standard Jazz Bass pickups on American Standard Jazzes for a very long time prior to recently switching to the Custom Shop ones.

Since Fender hasn't updated the online support diagrams in ages and ages, I suggest it is the best possible idea for you to CONTACT FENDER CONSUMER RELATIONS with your model name and serial number to specifically request them to email you the correct parts list and diagram for your specific instrument. When they send it to you print it and keep it. I'd try email first. Here's the info:

When you get the response, please post the outcome for the pickup type here for future reference. Thanks!

Found specs on a 2006 Commemorative model Jazz Bass, stating "Pickups: 2 Vintage American Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups (Mid & Bridge)."

Those are not the same thing as "Original" pickups.

Not yet, I was in the process of moving house and I'm relying on other people's internet at the moment.
I'll do it now.
Done.

That's what I thought.

Neck Pickup is Fender Part 0033753000 " Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Pickup."
Bridge Pickup is Fender Part 0033746000 "Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Pickup."

Same part numbers I gave you. Those are replacement parts, NOT a marketed pickup pair.
