True, I'm not complaining.

My life is really no different than most. It goes up, and down. I made it past 20, and survived my major chest surgery going on two years in a bit.

I remember that. You were laid up for a bit with that. Wow, it's been two years already?

March 2nd, 2017, and I'm still healing up from it. Oh well, maybe it was better than getting shot by an SKS, or an AK-47. Who knows.

That's true, you did manage to avoid that, or booby traps. You still got all of your limbs, and aren't paraplegic, either. No matter how bad things might seem, there's always someone who's a lot worse off, it seems, unfortunately. That's how I try to look at things. Like this past week, I didn't have any gas, so no heat and hot water, and it was really friggin' cold, but I still had electricity, and I wasn't in a war zone.

I agree, there's always someone who's in worse condition than I was, or am.

I suppose that can give you a perspective on life, albeit not so good for the other person.

Well if it makes you feel any better I work as an in home caregiver for quadriplegics. One of my clients got sick so I've been sitting in the ICU for the last 3 days. My client got a tracheotomy put in last night and can't talk. So now we're learning how to communicate using a letter board.

Ah, the old 7.62X39 through-and-through.

Yes absolutely! So much I'd like to say but I don't want to take the thread further off topic.

I'm personally reading this thread with much interest as I have a MIM J-Bass I want to modify...or upgrade perhaps is a better word.

Given my lengthy existence so far in musician world, I remember when the Badssa® bridges came out. :D Every bass player where I come from, wanted one. I was sad to see that the Leo Quan connection is no more. I see these on eBay though so hope springs eternal.

But that Omega bridge looks good too.

Pickups and wiring/electronic components is what I am most interested in.

Is there any particular pickup that you were interested in getting?

I'm still researching that. Duncan Antiquities and maybe another model or two look good. Fender has those Custom Shop offerings and of course Bartolini has always been a heavy name in bass pups.

I always loved the sound Jaco got. Who doesn't? I get that a lot of his awesome tone was 'in his hands' though!

The other stuff I'm not sure. Looked at the Fender tuners....Pure Vintage or something. I wonder if Gotoh's are any better? Electronics I might go with RS Guitarworks.

There are certainly a lot of options out there to choose from.
