I've gone through a heaping stack of basses, myself. I've had my Alembic for over a year now...a personal record. Now that my finances are close to being in order...I'll be looking to buy a good MIM Jazz/Precision some day soon. You really should own a Fender if you play bass.

Dude- you go thru basses like apples go thru a blender.and then a corn binder.... wait....How come you don't ever keep any basses? You must pay tons of extra cash to change basses every couple months. Or do you wait right up to the 30 day return thing? Can you loan me $17,000 for a new boot? I only need one. :D

Some returns, mostly reselling. The 4003 however, was very easy to to turn over.

2000ish MIM left-handed Jazz
All parts string through body bridge, Seymour Duncan 1/4 lb pickups, replaced all pots and wiring, new pick guard and had the pickup cavity/back of pick guard shielded as well as had the wiring paths in the body drilled out and had shielding tubing inserted. Oh and strap locks too.

I'm also thinking of having it sanded down stained either white or black and then applying a breathable protectant seal. I have a friend that does this often for local musicians and all of them love it and say it's the best mod they've done on an instrument.

Nothing! My 60s Jazz Lacquer is perfect as is! She just sings and thumps! Playing her at a big show case this Friday!
