I recently swapped out necks with my Am Std P bass and added it to my already Franken Fender. I also added Ultra Jazz pickups and Audere JZ3B pro preamp. I love the updated Audere preamp because it allows one to customize the z modes. This bass has a nice thick snarly growl, especially with the DR steel Lowriders.

I just assembled a sweet jazz. VM body, I left the Duncan pickups in. I added a 97 flames maple Mighty Mite neck, last mod is a 60's vibe jazz bridge. Just did some recording and the engineer was floored by how good it sounded. It looks awesome to, it's has the darker tobacco body. Love it!

I have 3 of my 4 Jazz Basses loaded with the JZ 3 Preamps...one is the Pro Series..and YES!!! They kick butt! You are so right about the ability to program the Z-Modes..what a wonderful touch..and so easy to accomplish. My 5 string MIM is awaiting it's Pro JZ3...maybe for Christmas..or maybe I can sell the neck I just replaced and get the preamp sooner.

The only mods I did on mine are changing out the bridge for a Bad $@! II and strap locks. The pups on mine (MIM) sound fantastic! I love this bass!

Dude- you go thru basses like apples go thru a blender.and then a corn binder.... wait....How come you don't ever keep any basses? You must pay tons of extra cash to change basses every couple months. Or do you wait right up to the 30 day return thing? Can you loan me $17,000 for a new boot? I only need one. :D
