I finally got her! She's fretless and everything I want! I have a 1978 P Bass that is just a beast and my new Jazz is such a relief!

Those holes are for the string-thru body option, you can either string-thru the bridge or string-thru the body. It is said to have better tension and sustain, and some say it can offer a slightly different sound. Plus, by stringing through the body, it keeps the ferrules from falling out. :wink:
