Hi Guys,

I recently bought an American Standard Jazz Bass off of this guy and i would like to know if the bass parts are all real.

I've had squier jazz basses and i've opened the pickguard to explore. Unlike the ol skool Fender Jazz, the squier has wire trench between the pickups to the controls.

When i got the American Standard Jazz (with S1 switch, believed to be 2003-2004) and opened the pickguard (wanting to see that Jaco look), there is also a wire trench there just like the squier. Is my Jazz bass body an original American Jazz Bass body from 2003 - 2004?

There should be a Authenticity & production stamp on the body in the area where the neck plate is,.. If you unscrew the neck & take it off the bass you should be able to see it.
That being said I'm sure everything"s most probably authentic...

If i remember correctly, the body (neck plate area) has some date stamps on it. Is that it?

So the 2003-2004 american standard jazz bass model body has wire trench and i shouldn't worry about it i guess.. phew!!

Yes Exactly,.....what date is stamped?......I've never owned a 2003-04 American Standard & in the end I wouldn't worry about it,.....as wiring trenches are common, The Fender Select Jazz $$$ even has a wiring trench.... :)
