Hi,
Just bought a Squire Jass Bass Standard. One pot is "dirty" and one(volume) pot doesn´t do what it should. I am going to change them all three myself. I went online to find info and diagram on these pots.
Found this:
http://support.fender.com/service_diagr ... s_SISD.pdf

I read through this list and diagram. In the list on page one it says there are:

8. 500K Volume pot
9-10. 500K Tone pot

This means one Volume pot and two tone pots as I understand.

On page two there is a diagram. In this diagram however there is picture of two Volume pots and One Tone pot. The list on page one and the diagram on page two do not compliment one another.

Can anyone help me with this. Is there one Volume pot or two Volume pots.
Is there one Tone pot or two Tone pots.

On forehand thanks,
Sono

Squier Jazz basses (and most Fender) use 2 volume, 1 tone.

THANKS Hobbyist, !!!

If someone at Fender reads through this post and replies, I hope he will fix the list on page one.
I guess page two with the wiring diagram must be right in every respect than.

Thanks again !

Sono

Few people that get an FMIC paycheck troll the forum. They are busy making Fenders.
Most of the people here are enthusiasts.

A Jazz can be wired using several different ways. Some of it depends on the year as 62's are way different. But for most others the Jaco diagram works well and is among my favorite Jazz wiring schemes because it is simple and effective. Here it is. http://guitarnucleus.com/gitschems/FenJacoJazzSchem.pdf

okay I'll ask the dumb thing- could you not tell it was two volumes? You could have saved some time. But I guess if one never asks the question it won't get answered. So good job and keep on jammin on that Fender bass.
