I am looking for bright flat wounds to use with my AVRI 62 Jazz Bass. Any suggestions? Strictly no half wounds or hybrids. Thanks

From personal experience, I have tested several and the one's that have worked for my playing style are the GHS brand (M)L3075 set.

You can read the spec's in the link below...

Other members here may have additional suggestions for you, so please wait a few days for additional feedback and then compare the recommendations to see which might work best for you. Good luck...

I use Fender flatwound 9050M 55-105 on my Fretless I like them & they're also the original string that was on Fender Basses back in the 1960's ..Give 'em a try & thy're cheap.

I've heard that a lot for bass players also like D'addario Flatwound XL Chromes & have compared them to Fender flats...

& for those who can afford them there's Thomastilk-infeld Flats.

I used the D'Addario Flatwound XL Chromes on both fretted, and fretless Fenders. A good sound from the D'Addario Flats.

I have heard D'Addario Chromes referred to as on the bright side for flats - my sweat destroys brightness within a few minutes though so I never noticed on the basses I've had strung with them - it's bad enough with rounds, "bright flats" I'm sure I killed even faster!

You should know though that the Chromes are also pretty high tension...
