Yes!

This is my first big investment, and a huge step up from the bass I had before. Got it about two weeks ago and am really happy with doing it. And I almost talked myself out of it.

Anyways, here is a picture...

Hopefully the link works. Got a newbie question, what are your're favorite tone settings and amp? I am playing through an Ampeg Micro VR, no effects or anything...

I don't think snapfish supports hotlinking for posting on a forum like this.

Try PHOTOBUCKET DOT COM or any free image host that does support hotlinking. It will list several links for each of your photos once you upload them. Copy and paste the DIRECT link between the IMG tags on a post here. (Start a forum post, click the IMG button on the toolbar above the form Message Body window, then paste your photo's direct link there. Click PREVIEW at the bottom to see if it looks ok, then hit SUBMIT if it does.)

Congratulations bookbm! Play the hell out of it, but don't change anything but the strings!
Enjoy! :)

Oh yea. Thanks a lot :D . I took off the stock strings and put some Marcus Miller strings on there. I always thought people were exaggerating when they said it was hard to put a bass down. I know that that is not true at all....

Congrats Bookbm enjoy your new bass ..............Hey Chomeface great photo of Marcus Miller ( my guru, up there with Geddy & Jaco).............I was lucky enough to see him do a bass clinic on October 9th....it was amazing !! I was buzzing for days,..... He's one cool dude,...he also shared stories of his time working with Miles Davis in the 1980's .

The '75 Jazz seems to be phased out in favor of a fresh bunch of "pure vintage" basses: '66, '72 and '77, the latter being endorsed by the artists you mentioned above.

Squier has already issued a vintage modified '77 Jazz which is faithfully close to the CBS original:

The new basses didn't came into production until the next annual NAMM trade show in January 24th.
