Has anyone else noticed American Vintage basses being sold off for $1100-$1200 lately? Makes me wish I had a spare grand layin around - too bad I just bought a car...
At any rate I'm just curious to know if this is due to speculation about new American Vintage basses? Or if anyone has heard anything new about them? I've loved everyone of the new AV guitars I've picked up (they feel more like a custom shop axe than a factory american).
Later.

I've noticed it to but I'm not sure why they're being sold off at what is a relatively cheap price for an excellent instrument..

Whenever you see a great deal that is unlikely to return once it's gone, you have to romp on it even if that means whipping out the plastic and pouncing quickly. I've let great deals go by never to see them again.

Both the '57 & '62 American Vintage Precisions are no longer on Fender's product listings. They're $1,160 at Musician's Friend.

That's almost half price!
