Hi!
Does someone know which pickups come with the new American Standard Jazz Bass? Custom Shop '60s Jazz Bass, Original Jazz Bass , SCN Jazz Bass, or the Vintage "Noiseless" Jazz Bass?

I'm lost! :D

I'm not sure exactly what you call them, but they were just some passive pickups. They didn't sound too bad, but I am an active guy and threw EMGs in it the day I got it. The stock pickups do play pretty well

Taken from the American Standard Jazz Bass specs page on Fender's website.

"2 American Standard Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups (Mid & Bridge) "

which is found here.
Hope that can help you.

:D I got this answer from Fender customer service just now.
The New American Standard Jazz comes with Alnico 5 magnets in the pickups which should generate a "warmer" tone than the Alnico 3 magnets that have been used previously.

Many thanks 4 responses! :D

what i'm trying to find is the difference (if there is one…) between the New American Standard jazz Bass Pickups and the other pickups sold separately by Fender in the "accessories" part of the site. in another terms, if i had to replace the pickups of my Jazz, which one should i buy to get the same sound?

Do what I did and call Fender @ 480-596-9690. You can get the answers to your questions directly " from the horses mouth". They treat you rather well and quickly.
