I use DR silver stars (coated) on my jazz, Black Beauties also. Love the feel and tone. I have GHS infinity (red coated) on my pbass. I'm a member at talk bass, I buy thru bassstringsonline. com. Being a member of TB gets you VIP pricing. The only place I buy, incredible customer service. You cam buy custom sets and single strings.

I've got Rotosound Monel Flatwounds on a P-bass. The only ones I've played. I'm not saying they're better than any others, just my first set of flatwounds.

As long as you area member, Jason gives you the VIP discount.

I tried/loved and then used Blue Steels exclusively in the mid 1980's when they first came out. Great tone.

Right now I'm testing out a set of DR Neons, and I must say that I am favorably impressed. The coating helps reduce some string screech. They look cool as all heaven. Very evenly balanced, and keep their great tone for months. Easy on the fingers.

D'Addario bright lights. Inexpensive but great clangy, bright sound. I wouldn't want to spend more unless I had to.
