Does Fender currently offer any Jazz basses with glitter finish? A guitar player friend of my recently purchased a Fender 6 string with silver glitter finish and I fell in love with it (I think it was a Jagmaster?). I would love to have a silver glitter Jazz.

p.s. I'm also in love with the Select J bass. Beautiful wood. That's another bass on my current wish list.

Just buy a Mexi, and take the body to a Maaco or other similar auto repainter, and have them paint it for you in a heavy metallic silver. Should be able to get pretty close...

I don't know of any current J models that offer a factory silver glitter finish.

Sorry, that's all I got. :(

The Maaco tip sounds pretty good, actually. I do have a Mexican Jazz on hand that I might give the treatment. I had a sunburst Japanese J bass refinished a few years back and it came out great and became a fun project.

The big glitter in thick paint with a clear coat over it. That may just turn the wood into a dull thud of a thing -- but looks count too. :D
