Geddy was in Montreal this week playing the bell center on Thursday. Couldn't help but notice that my bass looks better than his (haha).
Anybody know what that symbol is hes got there on the pickguard...???

AAhhh Montreal, my old home town....I saw Rush there may times (at the Forum)......anyway the symbol on Geddy's pickguaurd is known as The Alchemical Amalgamation symbol...........How was the show? I heard they're using an Orchestra during the second part of the show for all the new suff from Clockwork Angels........I'd like to see this tour, there's no Vancouver date yet, the closest they'll be is Seattle in late November.........I think they're skipping Vancouver because there's already other artists booked at The Rogers Center around the same time so it's a scheduling thing......I did see the Time Machine tour last year & I thought it Rocked....

The Gazette usually does great reviews. I feel bad i missed this one (wow a 3 hour show with an original line up...oi...). My schedule bounced me around being able to go or not, so i didn't comit.....rats...
Thats also one of the coolest thing about Montreal: all the great acts love to come here...

Yes the great acts do love to come to Montreal..... especially during the Jazz festival,
thats what I miss about Montreal is some of the live acts that play Montreal & Toronto but don't come to Vancouver........... The current Rush clockwork Angels tour will make eventually make it to Vancouver but it probably won't be until next Spring or Summer.. :)

Geddy has great taste in basses and I too love USA Fenders. Geddy does look like the guy who loaded my truck up in Winsor Ont at the port by Niagra Falls. I wonder if he used to work there? Anyway the title of the thread is "Choosing a Fender Jazz'. I would like to say that you can not "choose" a Fender Jazz. It's like having a baby: they just kind of pop out on the floor and you are stuck with it.
