Did any 1976 Jazz basses come with a white pickguard on a natural body? Thanks

There are a bunch of 1976 Jazz Basses within the following link.
You will have to review for the specific natural or blonde finish.
Hope this helps. Toppscore :)

Natural P-Basses in 1976 shipped with a black pickguard. It is possible someone could have had enough pull and special ordered one with a white guard, but this is unlikely unless you were an endorsing artist or something like that and were dealing directly with Fender bypassing a dealer in which case it would have been designated an ES or "Entered Special" order and would have ES body stamps.

Hi, Brother Dave.
So simple to change pickguards.
Plus, some add extra shielding foil underneath.
Are Fender pickguards marked in a way on can tell if they are original to the guitar?
Toppscore :)

Toppscore, starting during the CBS era guards starting getting a white sticker the Fender script logo which was sometimes red and other times black with a part number added too eventually. But they are not serialized to the instrument. This ID's a genuine Fender part. And yes, the Jazz Bass guard is probably the easiest Fender bass guard to swap out. 2nd easiest would be a first generation design P-Bass.

I had a 1998 Fender American Deluxe Jazz V
and a 1978/1982 Fender Telecaster
and both had information for identifying the guitar's
either serial number or part numbers or something (wish I could remember)
on the pickguard's underside.
At the time, I was studying 1960s/1970s Stratcasters for markings.
So, I thought it interesting when the pickguards were involved.
Both have been sold.

Thanks for your bass guitar info. Toppscore :)
