I can't seem to get ahold of a replacement neck for my Jazz Bass 24 4-string. The truss rod is all messed up and the adjusting end is all stripped out so I can't adjust it anymore. It is painful to look at and it sounds absolutely awful now. The E string is really quiet and everything is buzzy, the strings are really slack and the harmonics are really pinched. I love this bass, but do you think a simple truss rod replacement and professional set up would be worth it or should I get a new neck? Or maybe I should get a new bass. I don't know! I can't find find any parts for it cuz it has a 6 bolt neck and 24 frets. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to get a replacement neck from your Fender dealer. I would get it fixed. It's a good bass. From your other topic, too midrangey, you can always use your amp eq to fatten the sound or use eq pedal. I wouldn't just get rid of it. Good luck.

If there is a problem take to an authorized service center and they can get a replacement neck for you.
