I for one hate, and I mean HATE fret buzz. I like a very clean action. Also adjust your technique until you are playing cleanly. Having your neck pleck'd is a good, but expensive option.

I tend to agree. Assuming your bass is set up correctly, fret buzz is often a sign of bad technique. I cringe when I hear pros making fret buzz.
Don't get sloppy. Make sure you are pressing right up at the fret. It can be a little challenging (especially when you're playing fast) but it is doable. Practice makes perfect.
