I think the fact that Fender has added the Squire line to their site instead of hosting them on a separate url says a lot about their confidence concerning the Squire's quality. I think they have grown in leaps and bounds these past few years. Used to be that most folks would place very little merit to their viability in the guitar and bass world. I see more and more Squires being played out than ever before. Never mind the economic value...the new family of Squires are a great line of instruments.

Absolutely.

Are you talking about the one on Terminal Ave?
Apparently that store (Terminal Ave) has the most square footage of any music store in North America.
It's long and relatively narrow so it looks like it's only marginally bigger than an average GC but it has a second floor of the same size so it's quite huge.
That's where I picked up my AD Jazz last June.
I didn't count how many basses they had on display but it was definitely the most I'd ever seen in one store. The bass department was as big as an average Mom & Pop music store and it was crammed.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I've been a Markbass owner for almost 6 years...it's been a good experience.

Mr. Nylon, have you ever tried the Fender 9120 Nylon tapes? I just ordered a set for my Carvin AC40.

Hey Raginrog;
No, I haven't. I like the D'Addario ETB92 Nylons, and have used them for some time now. I have never had to do any bridge adjustments with them. The string gauge size is a good fit on the nut. The factory Fender strings, USA Bass 7250M, NPS (.045-.105 Gauges) are, (.45, .65, .85, .105) The ETB92 Nylons only have the G string that is .50. The E, A, and D are identical in size. Close enough to be a perfect fit to the bone nut's cut in the Am. Dlx. I like the sound, and the feel from the D'Addario. Their customer service is great also.

One thing I love is the inclusion of a rotary switch allowing a wider variety of tonal options from the splittable Modern Player "side-by-side" Jazz humbuckers.

This bass would sound much better with a mid-shaping tone pot.

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

That's laughable......Chromefake doesn't own any basses.

He lives vicariously via photos of other peoples' gear.
