Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Like an original brand-new early-to-mid 60's Jazz Bass (circa 1963/64) :)

Headstock decal is not period-correct but gives a nice modern touch in your axe 8)

...and subsequently you (or the previous owner) changed the 3-ply white guard which came stock with a 4-ply brown tortoise shell to match the 3-tone burst finish and dark rosewood neck to perfection!

Tip: to complete the vintage vibe stick a set of Custom Shop 60's Jazz Bass pickups on your baby.

Forgot to mention the pickguard. As I mentioned, I bought it used and there were some obvious changes. First, it had Precision type knobs, which I replaced, a killer set-up,
I know all they did was hang it on the wall when they got it, and a great sound. There are no markings that are visible as to what they are, in my impatience to chage the pickguard, I forgot to look.

Anyway, it has a sound I'll leave as is. Whatever they are, they'll match the SPB-3's on my Precision.

I'd like to know it's history.

The knurled metal flat-top knobs were added by the previous owner. You've reverted those changes by reinstating the mandatory black bakelite J-type knobs.

My American Standard Jazz, "Electric Lady": Right out of the carton.

After a short prep, and getting those four shinny stringy things off of her.
