Mr. Nylon did you get yourself an Olympic White American Standard with Tort pick guard & maple fretboard? ...... I've been pondering getting that exact bass for the last couple of months,.... hoe do you like it? :)
Did it arrive with the advertised SKB flight case or a vintage style G&C case? & din't you use to have an American Standard P-Bass?

WHAT? Hi James; I have the Olympic White American Standard Jazz coming in from Sweetwater. It should be in this Thursday. The case is vintage style G&C, or G&G whatever it's brand. This is taking the place of the P Bass I sold to acquire the SG Std. I have the short scale SG Std., and the long scale Fretless Jazz. I wanted to have a Fretted Jazz also. Fender is shipping me a White Jazz PG for the Olympic White Jazz. I just like the Olympic White / Maple Fretboard / White PG, on a Fender. Other than the Frets, and the Maple, it should sound very close to the Fretless Jazz.
I think the Am. Std. Jazzes sound, and play great, and are manufactured well. And, i just so happen to have a set of ETB92 Nylons to string up on her.Image

I'm looking forward to getting this one in. I thought it was a G&G Case. G&L Guitars use G&G Cases for some, or all of their MIA guitars, and basses.

The Olympic White / Maple Jazz showed up late this afternoon. I changed out the strings, and the PG. The Tort PG is off in places of a White PG.

The lighting has the Olympic White was a bit off. It almost looks Vintage White. So I reshot them.
