is it possible to change my dot inlays on my deluxe jazz bass to rectangular inlays of a cool design? would i need a new fretboard or neck??

They sell these stick on inlays for necks. Personally I think they are very cheezy!

To modify your existing neck, you would need to find a good luthier that has the equipment to properly cut routes in the neck for the new inlays.

That would be a pretty expensive upgrade. Much better to buy a Warmoth neck and save the original if you want to switch back. :D

Because the rectangular inlays and neck binding is classic Fender/70's look.

yeah the pearl or black block inlays make your bass look really vintage go for it and post what the price was when you are done for us others that are curious about the same thing. Thanks

I think to get inlays that arent just stickers, you would have to find somone who would do the work, but i dont know of anyone who would, i think you would be jsut better off with the new fretboard
