Hi,

I was trawling through here looking for info on Jazz Bass pickguards, and came to the conclusion that not all the basses have the same drillings for the 'plates.

However, on the Fender website, it shows one product that supposedly fits:

"'62 American Vintage, American Series, and American Standard Jazz Basses (USA).
Standard, and Deluxe Series Jazz Basses (Mexico)"

Surely this means that all the basses above have identical pickguard mounts?

Perhaps this is obvious, just checking as I was under the impression that the MIM and the US had different holes.

Thanks.

The MIM and MIA have diff't hole pattern(s). Go to Pickguarsds.com they can tell you.

The main difference between the MIM and American is the access to the trussrod (MIM is at the nut whereas American is at the joint of the neck onto the body - this means a different pickguard is needed for each). :D
