Korean made in the mid to late 80's according to the SN#, this bass has an odd shaped headstock that I can not seem to match in any photos. Does anyone know anything about this bass?, or is it just one of the millions made over the years. This guitar sounds AMAZING with all of the original parts!

Headstock reads;

Squier by Fender
made in Korea serial number E936699

Nice Korean Squier. This has a few of the hallmarks of a Cort made bass. Cort made basses not only for Squier but also for Ibanez and other labels in the 80's and 90's. The control setup 3 in a straight line through the wood with no control plate is one hallmark. Pointy headstock is another hallmark, although the Ibanez was a jagged pointy design. I have one of the Cort made Ibanez TRB70's which has this same P/J setup. I'm guessing the fretboard is very large radius, about 12 to 14 inches, making it almost flat. My Cort made Ibanez has an almost flat fretboard, which is why I use it so much. I put a Bill Lawrence WILDE P/J set on it with new pots and Vitamin-Q PIO caps. I copper shielded everything and now have flatwounds on it. It records very well. The Korean Kort made Ibanez has an agathis body. Not sure about yours. Your hardware looks more heavy duty though. The pickups look about the same. It probably has 500K pots and a poly chicklet type cap. I put 250K in mine but am thinking about putting 500K pots back in it.

I suggest posting this same question and photos on the Squier forum, which is just down the page on the Forum index from the Fender stuff. There are more Squier experts in the Squier forum than the Fender forum I think.

Also it might help to actually post the photos in the Squier forum instead of just the links. It isn't that hard. Just click IMG on the menu and paste in the links in the IMG tag where the cursor lands. I know photobucket.com works that way, but not sure about your flicker images.
