Hi all, After waiting 10 weeks for new vintage style alnico v PuPs the Fender dealer in Malaga Spain phoned to tell me Father Christmas had made the delivery, I promptly went to them for collection paid the money and put another order in for P Bass alnico v PuPs and when i got home i began to wonder why they were so cheap 59 euros for the pair !! and checked the Fender part numbers :
Neck 0058294000
Bridge 0058295000....Err and made in Mexico
10 weeks ago i watched them bring up the specs on their computer for vintage alnico v Pups and was with them as they typed the order in to Fender in Madrid, What can go wrong ? I feel i have been fobbed off with Mex ceramic cheapos, if anyone can convince me (Brad ?) these PuPs are an upgrade on the originals fitted to a MiM Jazz i will live with it an not travel the 100 kmtr round trip and upset the friendly staff !! Wonder what the Ps will arrive as ?... Happy New Year ? Pete Bass

The American Standard J Bass pups are the following part numbers:
Neck 0033753000
Bridge 0033746000

The part numbers you list are Standard J-Bass pickups used on the MIM models.
They are Alnico, but would to a lower impedance than the USA ones.

Muchas gracias Brother Dave for that info it is now indelibly imprinted in the cebrero, So i can presume i already had these lower impedence which i think equates to less output ? PuPs fitted as standard, I have e mailed the dealer in my best Spanglish with no reply as yet, Many thanks again and Feliz Ano Nuevo....Pete Bass

Yes, same pickups. Suggest ordering the USA ones and trading in the old ones for store credit toward them.
